Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born to a musically inclined family on 9 August 1963, in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel star Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singer Dionne Warwick. When she was a kid she performed in the New Hope Baptist Church choir in Newark. By the time she reached the age of 15years old, Houston was singing professionally with backing vocals alongside her mother in Chaka Khan's 1978 song Im Every Woman. Her mother, Jermaine and Lou Rawls were some of the artists she backed up. She was also briefly as a model for Seventeen Magazine in 1981. Her first gig was as a featured vocalist for the New York-based funk band Material as well. It was her quality of her work as a vocalist with them that attracted the attention of several major record companies, such as Arista which she signed with in 1983 and where she would remain for the remainder of her professional career. Her debut album Whitney Houston was released in 1985, and was the most-seller album of a debut artist. The album All My Love was released in 1985 and became a number one smash. It sold three million copies during its initial year, as well as 25 million around the world. She won her first six Grammys. The Whitney album released in 1987 featuring the tracks that I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Where Do Broken Hearts Get to continue her popularity. However, it came with The Bodyguard of 1992 that made her one of the most successful artists in history. Although the film and the actor's performance weren't much praised, her soundtrack album featuring her rendition of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You was her most popular album and single for a number of months. It sold more than 44 million copies around the world. The same year, she was married former New Edition star Bobby Brown with whom she was the sole parent of their daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. She was born in the month of March 1993. In the same year the drug use was documented, and she started using it daily until 1996.
Dana Bash, also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz, is an American journalist and anchorwoman who serves as a political correspondent for CNN. She also produces certain of the network's Sunday programs such the Evans & Novak' Late Edition and Inside Politics.' She has worked for other renowned channels before, including NBC as well as CBS.
