Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston (born 9 August 1993 in Newark New Jersey) is the daughter of gospel star Cissy Houston. In her early years, she sang in her New Hope Baptist Church in Newark. When she turned 15years old, Houston was singing professionally as a backing vocalist with her mother in Chaka Khan's 1978 song Im Every Woman. The backing vocalists were Lou Rawls, Jermaine Jackson and her mom. Beginning in 1981, she started singing with the New York-based funk group Material. It was her quality vocal work which attracted interest of recording companies such as Arista. The album she released as her debut Whitney Houston was released in 1985 and became the biggest-selling album of a debut artist. Several singles from her album became hits, such as The Greatest Love of All and Saving All My Love. The album was released in 1987, and it sold over 25 million copies worldwide. Its Whitney 1987 release, featuring Where Do Broken Hearts and I Wanna Dance With Somebody as songs, helped to build on the success she had achieved. It was The Bodyguard 1992 which cemented her reputation as one the most well-known artists in the world. Although the film and the performances of the actress were not well-received, the soundtrack album featuring her rendition of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You was the most popular single in many months. It sold in excess of 44,000,000 copies worldwide. Also in 1993 that she married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition artist with whom she bore her only child Bobbi Kristina Brown. Her drug addiction began in the middle of 1993 and by 1996, she had been a frequent user.
Dana Bash, also known by the name she was born under, Dana Ruth Schwartz, is a CNN political reporter and anchorwoman.
