Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz, professionally referred to as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. The name of her parents was derived from her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was an editor and writer along with Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder believes she is Jewish and descends from Ryder's Jewish father. Uria Ryder is her younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are her half-siblings. Ryder and her family relocated to California's Mendocino County at the age of seven. Ryder was only seven years old. At the time, there were no electric lights. Ryder was a prolific reader due to the lack of television. Ryder began to take acting classes in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 aged 12 years old. In 1986 she was offered her first role on the big screen in the movie Lucas when she was just 15 years old. Ryder was bullied at high school. Ryder was hopeful that her work as an actress would make a difference. But, unfortunately, that didn't take place. She continued to pursue her ambitions. It was 1988 when Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that was her breakthrough. Ryder had a successful role in numerous films. There were two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
